TALL, GREEN AND TIMELESS. CONSIDER THESE A HOUSEPLANT MUST HAVE.

The Snake Plant, otherwise known as Mother-in-Law's Tongue or Sansevieria, is considered to be one of the easiest houseplants to take care of for beginners. There are a lot of varieties, which can make for a striking and intricate vertical display in your home.

You will also find this plant has well known air purifying qualities which is why you'll often find them in homes, offices and indoor spaces.

These plants are not safe for pets to eat, so keep away if you're worried your furry friends like to chew on things.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SNAKE PLANT:

  • Place in a bright area, but not direct sunlight to avoid burning their leaves.
  • Keep a weekly watering schedule but do not soak the plant and let dry between watering.
  • Make sure the pot drains well, these guys don't like 'wet feet' and can rot easily if too wet.
  • The flat leaves collect dust, so wipe weekly to keep their colour bright.
