THE TRENDY, AND OFTEN MOODY, LEAFY GREEN FRIEND.

The Fiddle Leaf Fig has gained huge popularity over the past few years. It's big, luscious green leaves have attracted many folks to include the Fiddle Leaf in their houseplant collection. They're often seen to grow to massive size and scale.

Now although they are quite stunning (and very trendy...) they have gained a reputation of being slightly 'dramatic' and can get upset easily if it doesn't have the correct lighting, watering schedule and potting or if something has changed. You'll notice this if they start dropping leaves.

If you'd like to challenge yourself and have one of these in your home then take a look at the tips below:

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FIDDLE LEAF:

  • Best placed in natural light close to a window.
  • Keep a strict weekly watering schedule (same day each week, change causes shock).
  • Ensure the plant is thoroughly watered each week.
  • The leaves are huge and should we wiped to keep their shine.
  • This tree grows big, so repotting every spring can be done until you've reached your desired height.

My first Fiddle leaf was such a disaster. I was so sad. It dropped all its leaves and died on me within a few months. I never knew what I did wrong until now. Thanks for the help!
